Dear Bruce, I very much enjoyed your playing at St. Edward school in Corona yesterday. When I saw the Gibson I thought yeah jazz or blues and when I heard the clear tones "Oye Como Va" I knew blues would be significant in your performances. I tried to order 'Shades of Blue' but couldn't get the form to come up. I'll try again later. Thank you for giving your time and talent to my wife's school. Everyone loved the performance.
Hi Bruce, Im glad that we were able to meet. you had open a new windows for me. Thanks for sharing your great music here in Davao City Philippines. Dear Bruce, I just received the CDs "Shades of Blue", and now writing this comment with hearing it. I just want to express, "How great !!". Your own writting and singing "Don't give up on love", "My baby's lovin (I have been care of this song with your crying guiter, as played on your site)", Santana's "Europe", etc... I was really knocked out by all 10 songs. This CD is absolutely Grammy awarded one in my world in 2004, and thank you very much for your wonderful X'mas gift !! By the way, you played new Les Paul on this new CD ? (Shown on the back of CD-case...).
Hi Bruce, Just ran across your website and am so glad you are still doing it! I played Drums with Freddie King in 1973 & '74 and we did a bunch of dates with TOP. I always enjoyed hanging with you when we had the opportunity. What a thrill it was for me, a kid from Texas, sharing dates with his favorite band. Great memories. Take care, Mike Kennedy
Hey, Bruley! Something prompted me to check out your site this morning. Great to see it has improved amazingly! (Also surprised to see an email from me from so long ago.) I just called Brooks this morning and left her a message to see if she and John had any desire to hit Vegas next year to see you. I'll keep checking your tour dates for 2005. A year ago, I moved up to the Oregon Coast (little city called Waldport.) Here's hoping you play somewhere in Oregon sometime. There's a great little dive in Yachats called The Landmark, and they feature some great talent every weekend. Geez, ever think of an Oregon Coast vacation/play date? I sincerely hope all is going very well at your end. I was very saddened to hear about your dad, and my thoughts are with you there. I signed up for the latest news on you. Don't want to lose touch. Can't wait for your next release! Take care, keep on rockin' . . . .!
good stuff.
Hello!! How are you? I hope you had a pleasant fly to California... It was fine to know your band...you are so great and we spent very good time (but too short) with you! Good luck for the future and see you one day! Isabelle, Angelika, Bénédicte and Dominika!
Very much looking forward to hearing the entire new Cd. Heard some tracks with Tom Penn, and am excited about the rest. Congratulations!!!! Fred Gomez

Bruce, My wife and I would like to know when you will be performing in the bay
area again. I was lucky to receive 3 guitar lessons from you in the early
eighties when you lived in the Westlake area off 280 near Daly City. I brought
both of my guitar's the lessons. White Les Paul Custom and the White ES335
(1968) The ES335 once was owned by LEO- of Leo's music in Oakland. I am
orginally from Berkeley and atteneded Berkeley High with Lennie Pickett in 1971.

Bruce I have been a fan since the early days of Tower of Power, and I have long
admired your smooth style for soloing. I would like to know who were some of
your influences for soloing. At 56, I still get goose bumps when I hear your
solo on Squib cakes, so it is not unusual that both my cousin and I refer to you
as The Godfather of Tower of Power guitarists. My only regret is that I never
got to see you play with The Tower. I thank you for bringing your style to all
of us who have listened and learned from you. Peace Rick Doten Lead Guitar The

HI, BRUCE JUST CHECKING TO SEE WHAT'S UP WITH YOU. (ORGAN PLAYER, SMITH BRO.)
Hi Bruce, I thought i would look at your web site and notice it is different from the last time. I hope you are doing well. My mother Dena Piarulli passed away on December 29th, 2003. I am really missing her and know now she is in a better place. YOur cousin, Joan Piarulli Wooldridge
Bruce, I've been a fan of TOWER OF POWER since the mid- 70s. At that time I owned a successful record store in a mall in Effingham, IL.-(Village Record Land - later Disk Jockey) at the time I discovered you. I played your music in-store often - and sold many copies of your works. I made a pleasure trip out to San Fran in '75 or '76. The two people that I traveled with were a New York boy and a Norwegian girl - each wanted to go to a Stephane Grapelli concert there- I wanted to see T of P in Oakland that night. Yet, I submitted to their want (as I did not want to take the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) system to Oakland by myself. I was thrilled with Stephane Grappelli's performance but was sad that I did not get to hear the mighty TOWER OF POWER. So sorry Bruce! Bruce, I love your guitar skills. I am a guitar instructor at Samuel Music Co. in Effingham, IL. I teach Classical as well as Jazz (I was instructed by Pat Metheny for three days in 1972)- I will never forget this experience. I teach Flamenco styles, Rock guitar, and other styles but I would love to learn as much as I could about Funk. Do you have any source suggestions for me to apply to my Funk rhythm skills beyond the Al McKay video you appeared on? THIS WAS GREAT BY THE WAY! Wishing continued success to you, Rick Endebrock Effingham, IL

Good grief, Bruce. I dated Mike back in 1967-68, and even hung around your house on occasion. Seems to me you had a cat-eating owl at one time! I spoke with Mike some months ago to say hello, and he told me you were recording....but didn't mention any CDs at the time. I was looking for a Ry Cooder CD yesterday and saw your name go by. Almost fainted. Used to follow you with T of P, but lost contact since. Anyway, just wanted to say that I've about worn out Bullet Proof in the past 24 hours. Seriously, not a bad song on it. (I have Nowhere to Go on as I type...) Just wanted to say hello -- absolutely don't expect you to remember me -- but it's great to see that you are doing so well. I'm going to search to see if you have club dates listed on this site somewhere. If not, please have someone send me a schedule! Hello to Mike, if you talk to him!!
